What We Do
The Lab's sole output is validated strategies. It sources ideas from the academic literature and original intuition, schematizes them into testable specifications, and backtests them over long histories. Each candidate must then clear validation on held-out data before any capital is committed. The vehicles through which surviving strategies are deployed are described on the About page.
The foundational premise is that systematic, evidence-based decision-making, implemented with discipline, can identify and exploit persistent inefficiencies in equity markets. Cornerstone does not operate as a public fund, advisory service, or distribution platform; its focus is the continuous development and execution of a quantitative equity framework, measured against objective benchmarks and refined through ongoing research.
Methodology
The pipeline runs from idea to deployment. Each stage is designed to eliminate weak hypotheses at minimal cost, so that only validated strategies reach capital.
Discipline & Risk
Risk parameters are defined ex-ante and embedded within the operating framework. Discretionary overrides are structurally excluded. The emphasis is on adherence to process, with continuous monitoring against predefined thresholds and systematic review cycles.
